Charlie Chase | FirstService Brands, President and CEO

Mr. Chase is the President and CEO of FirstService Brands, a division of FirstService Corporation of Toronto (FSV). FirstService Brands is a leading Property Services Company in North America serving nearly one million customers a year in property services and $1B in corporate revenues. Notable brands include California Closets, Paul Davis Restoration, CertaPro Painters, Pillar to Post Home Inspectors, FirstOnsite Restoration and, Floor Coverings International. He has served in this role since 2010 growing the company from just over $700m in system-wide sales to well over $3B today through a mix of franchises and company owned operations. Prior to that Mr. Chase served as the CEO of the predecessor entity The Franchise Company. Prior to that Mr. Chase was the co-founder of CertaPro Painters, BrandPoint Services and Rhombus Services. From 1982 through 1984 Mr. Chase was a franchisee of CollegePro Painters, and from 1984-1992 led College Pro’s expansion in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest of the US. Mr. Chase has been with the organization since October of 1982.

In addition to his business activities, Mr. Chase was the Chairman of the International Franchise Association (IFA) representing more than 300,000 franchises and 1300 franchisors across North America. Mr. Chase is an Officer, Trustee and Chair of the Building Committee for the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. This responsibility includes the care of the Frank Furness masterpiece Landmark Building at PAFA. Additionally, Mr. Chase is on the Board of the Ed Snider Youth Hockey and Education. Mr. Chase was previously on the board of MANNA of Philadelphia. Mr. Chase’s interests include coaching hockey (Level 4 Coach), aviation (Commercial Pilot), sport fishing and exploration. Mr. Chase has a BA from Queen’s University of Kingston, Ontario and has attended numerous executive business programs at Stanford, Harvard and Wharton. Mr. Chase resides in Pennsylvania
